Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic approach that uses guided relaxation, focused attention and carefully structured suggestions to support positive changes in thoughts, feelings and behaviour.
No. You remain aware and in control throughout the session. Hypnosis is not sleep, and you cannot be made to do anything against your values or wishes.
Hajra Khan Wellbeing currently provides hypnotherapy for adults aged 18 and over. Sessions are not currently offered to children.
Yes. A free 15-minute telephone consultation is available to discuss your needs, answer initial questions and consider whether hypnotherapy may be appropriate for you.
When hypnotherapy appears suitable, you can book a paid initial consultation lasting approximately 50 to 60 minutes. Payment is required before the appointment is confirmed.
Yes. Online hypnotherapy sessions are available. Face-to-face appointments will also be offered once a suitable practice location has been secured.
Sessions are available in English, Urdu and Pashto, helping clients communicate in the language in which they feel most comfortable.
Sessions are treated as private and confidential. There are limited circumstances where confidentiality may need to be broken for safeguarding, legal or serious risk concerns. These boundaries will be explained before therapy begins.
Yes. Before treatment begins, you may be asked to complete forms covering relevant medical history, medication, mental health history, consent, GP details and the therapy agreement.
The number of sessions varies depending on your individual needs, goals and circumstances. This will be discussed during your consultation, and no fixed result can be guaranteed.
The cancellation and rescheduling terms are included within the client agreement. You will receive the full policy before confirming treatment.
No. Hypnotherapy should not replace advice, diagnosis or treatment from your GP or another qualified healthcare professional. You should continue taking prescribed medication unless advised otherwise by the prescribing clinician.
