Psychology
Completing my BSc (Hons) in Psychology gave me a broad foundation in human behaviour, development, emotional wellbeing and mental health.
I am a qualified hypnotherapist with a BSc (Hons) in Psychology and further training in counselling skills, counselling and psychotherapy. My work is grounded in compassion, careful listening and respect for every person’s individual experience.
I want every client to feel respected, understood and able to move at a pace that feels right for them.
I have always been interested in people: how our experiences shape us, why we respond to situations in different ways and how emotional wellbeing can influence everyday life. That interest led me to study Psychology and build a strong academic foundation in human behaviour, development and mental health.
Through my professional experience, I have supported people from different backgrounds and with a range of needs. This strengthened my belief that effective support should never feel rushed, impersonal or based on assumptions. Every person brings their own history, culture, values and way of understanding the world.
I later trained as a hypnotherapist because I was drawn to a focused, collaborative form of therapy that can help people understand patterns, develop new responses and work towards positive change. I now bring my psychology background, therapeutic training and personal values together within Hajra Khan Wellbeing.
My development has brought together academic study, practical experience and continued therapeutic training.

These principles shape how I communicate, make decisions and support every person who approaches my practice.
I approach each person with warmth, patience and an understanding that asking for support can require courage.
Your experiences, values, culture and choices are treated with care. You remain involved and in control throughout the process.
I work within the boundaries of my qualifications and will always be honest about whether hypnotherapy appears appropriate.
I remain committed to professional learning, reflective practice and developing my therapeutic knowledge responsibly.
My current private practice is focused on professional hypnotherapy for adults. I continue to build my knowledge through formal training and professional development.

I can offer sessions in English, Urdu and Pashto. For some clients, speaking in a familiar language can make it easier to explain personal experiences, express emotions and feel more comfortable during therapy.
