Stress
Developing calmer responses and exploring patterns that may contribute to ongoing stress.
Hypnotherapy offers a calm and collaborative way to explore thoughts, feelings, behaviours and patterns that may be affecting your everyday life. Sessions are tailored to you and always take place at a pace that feels comfortable.
You remain aware, involved and in control throughout your hypnotherapy session.
Hypnotherapy combines therapeutic conversation with a state of focused attention and relaxation. The aim is to create an environment in which you can explore patterns, thoughts and responses with greater focus.
Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic approach that uses hypnosis alongside appropriate therapeutic techniques. Hypnosis is often described as a state of focused attention in which you may feel deeply relaxed while remaining aware of what is happening around you.
During this focused state, therapeutic suggestions, imagery and conversation may be used to help you explore the changes you would like to make.
Every person's experience is different. Some people describe feeling deeply relaxed, while others simply notice that their attention has become more focused.
Hypnotherapy may be considered for a range of personal goals and emotional wellbeing concerns. Suitability is always discussed individually before treatment begins.

Working towards an individual goal where hypnotherapy is considered appropriate for your circumstances.
Stage hypnosis and television can sometimes create an unrealistic impression of hypnosis. Therapeutic hypnosis is very different. You remain an active participant throughout the process.
Standard hypnotherapy sessions are approximately 50–60 minutes. Your session is personalised rather than following one fixed script or formula.
Before therapeutic work begins, Hajra will take time to understand what you would like support with and whether hypnotherapy is appropriate for your circumstances.
Your session begins with a discussion about how you are feeling, your goals and anything relevant since your previous appointment.
You will be guided towards a comfortable state of focused attention and relaxation.
Appropriate therapeutic techniques are used in relation to the goals and issues you have agreed to explore.
The focused work is brought to a close gradually, with time to reflect on the session before finishing.
Advanced Age Regression Therapy is intended for deeper therapeutic exploration where it is considered appropriate.
Rather than focusing only on symptoms appearing in the present, this approach may involve exploring experiences, associations and patterns that could help provide greater understanding of the underlying issue.
Because this work may involve deeper exploration, Advanced Age Regression Therapy can require additional time compared with a standard 50–60 minute hypnotherapy session. Its suitability would always be considered carefully before proceeding.
Hypnotherapy is not automatically appropriate for every person, concern or circumstance. This is why Hajra begins with a free 15-minute consultation before inviting you to proceed.
Hajra will consider your needs, relevant health information and current circumstances before deciding whether hypnotherapy appears appropriate and within her professional scope of practice.
Hypnotherapy does not replace medical diagnosis, treatment or advice. You should continue to follow guidance from your GP, consultant or other appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
Hajra's therapeutic practice is supported by an academic background in psychology together with specialist training in hypnotherapy and continuing professional development.
She works within the boundaries of her current qualifications and professional scope, with a strong emphasis on ethical practice, informed decision-making and client wellbeing.
Begin with a free 15-minute consultation with Hajra. You can briefly discuss what you would like support with, ask initial questions and consider whether hypnotherapy may be an appropriate next step.
